Strengthen Cooperation Among Forces to Help Flood Victims to Safety and Control Border Crossings

Banteay Meanchey: Banteay Meanchey Police Commissioner, General Sithi Loh, imposes a plan on Thursday for all forces to continue to strengthen their units to help the flood victims in the province to evacuate to safety as floods continue to threaten the province as well as cities and districts.

The commissioner also took strong measures and encouraged all border patrols to have strict border checkpoints and surveillance along the Cambodian-Thai border crossings, in an effort to contain the spread of Covid-19, especially the new variant of Delta, which is spreading in Cambodia, especially in the provinces bordering Thailand. All forces stationed along the border must continue working closely on guarding to prevent illegal immigration by focusing on finding brokers who lure people to work illegally in Thailand. These cases fail to have a proper health check.
